Funeral Sites of the Xiongnu Elite is part of the Tentative list of Mongolia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Funeral Sites of the Xiongnu Elite comprises five sites with tombs of the Xiongnu, a tribal confederation of nomadic peoples who inhabited the Central Asian Steppe from the 4th century BCE to the late 2nd century CE. Most Xiongnu Elite tombs consist of a rectangular stone terrace above the burial pit and an adjoining entrance passage to the south. The tombs often contained specific ritual objects and the heads and long bones of animals.
